I love the work in the show just beautiful! I especially like the ones with the collage and I’m guessing a sort of monoprint ink process over the top. They are so interesting! And I love the ones that are more minimal with lots of white paper. But they’re all beautiful and inspiring! If I lived in England instead of Wisconsin I would be there to see the show. You are my hero! Best wishes, Pat Wafer, Madison, Wisconsin

Hello Pat,I just had to message you as soon as I read Madison, Wisconsin.
Half of my family the Genkes live there and I visited them a couple of years ago.
Thank you for your lovely kind words about my work.
My best wishes to you, Shirley T

Dear Shirley, I was thrilled to see today that there were prints offered on your site of Irises Against a Folding Table which I saw was in your show at the gallery. I ordered it immediately. A while back when I first saw that painting it just took my breath away. Something about that beautiful purple blue against the black of the tray was just stunning. I also love all the graphite work in that painting. As a retired nurse on a fixed income I can no longer collect original art but I am thrilled to be able to add that print to my collection and to have one of your paintings in my home! For the last few days I’ve been once again looking at your most recent book of your watercolors and as a painter myself there is just so much inspiration there. One thing I am doing more lately is drawing and trying to develop my paintings from my drawings. For many years I have painted Outdoors during decent weather and even some indecent weather! When it’s too cold to paint outdoors I paint from Life in the studio. Your paintings along with the greats like Matisse and others have given me so much inspiration and education. Getting old is no fun sometimes and I feel so lucky that I am still able to paint and continue to learn more about art and art history. Thank you so much for offering prints of some of your most beautiful paintings! And for sharing so much of your ideas and wisdom in your wonderful books. I promise to frame this one beautifully!
